About Amanda Wyerick
My name is Amanda Wyerick and I currently reside in Fort Recovery, Ohio with my husband and daughter. I graduated with honors from Memorial High School in Saint Marys, Ohio in 2004. Upon my completion of high school, I attended Wright State University and graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration. I have always been inspired by fundraising. In 2000, I traveled to Japan as part of a Sister City Youth Exchange. By fundraising, I was able to be enriched in the Japanese culture with only $10.00 out-of-pocket expense. A couple of years later, I raised money through sponsorships to be in the Miss Teen Ohio pageant in Portsmouth, Ohio in which 100% of my sponsorship fee was raised by hours of dedicated hard work searching for sponsors. (I placed 19th out of 71 young women.) Recently, I have had the opportunity to help a close friend of mine. I co-organized a benefit auction/concert for a firefighter who needs a kidney transplant. Over $4,000 was raised to help pay for the kidney transplant/medical expenses for my friend! I stumbled upon a company in September of 2008 and realized that there is an amazing opportunity to help others using this company's services. After much research, I finally signed as an Independent Distributor for a company called SendOutCards, LLC. I currently use the services myself and feel this is a great way to bring technology and personal touch together. This service saves time but still has a warm heart-felt touch in every card sent. I started Project: Send-A-Card November 1, 2008 with a mission to offer a simple fundraiser for area organizations. I feel it is a blessing to have the chance to help not one or two organizations raise money, but many. My goal is to help the organizations who are a part of my fundraising family, raise over a total of $100,000 by December 31, 2009!
