THE ROAD I'M TRAVELING!

I have wanted to stay home for a long time. As with everyone else, money and/or circumstances did not permit. We (my hubby and I) are now letting me stay home to build my dream business that will allow us to receive a residual income and live the life we both desire. Of course, timing wasn't perfect...timing actually matched the economy. It really stank!

In the past I have been fortunate in winning contests on my favorite local radio stations. In the year 1999 I won a new car. It was a new red 1999 Dodge Neon. The contest was called the Dodge Noel Neon (or something close to that). You had to be the tenth caller and correctly guess who the six passengers riding in the car were. Hourly clues were given. I stayed at my desk for lunch that day so that I could listen for my chance to call in with my guesses to win. It was the luckiest lunch of my life. But luck is not what I am looking for. Residual is what I'm working toward.

That year including the car I won over $25,000.00 in cash and prizes from the radio station. When we went to have our taxes done that year our CPA told my hubby that he should let me stay home and play the contests. :) He didn't agree at that time though!

To do things like winning contests on the radio or building your own business you must be focused.  It must be important to you and you must take responsibility for it's success or failure,  just like a J.O.B.   To illustrate I like to use the example of the  tortoise and the hare: The hare ran and ran and ran as fast as he could but he grew exhausted and stopped to take a rest. The tortoise on the other hand kept plodding along. He was consistent and persistent. The tortoise passed the hare as he was sleeping and won the race. You too must be consistent and persistent.
 

I am an Entrepeneur and am building my very own business. Yep, I'm the boss. I choose when to work and when to take off.   I totally love the time freedom. You too, can be your own boss.
